Anastasiya Romanska is a Toronto-based journalist. Her work can be seen across radio, television and print outlets, covering everything from sports to breaking news. She is passionate about connecting people to the world around them through inspiring, creative content.

Anastasiya began her career as an intern at CIUT 89.5 FM, before quickly becoming a substitute for hosts. She created webcasts, logs, and archives, along with working as a board operator.

In following months she became an ENG reporter for RogersTV Mississauga; attending events such as The Ripple Effect Wellness Organization Cheque Presentation, Passion 4 Dreams Black History Month Celebration and Holi Gala.

Throughout 2017 Anastasiya branched out into the world of marketing and advertising, voicing a variety of commercials and radio teasers.

Anastasiya was the creator, writer, host and producer of Brightside on CIUT 89.5 FM. Her show broadcasted weekly from downtown Toronto, across the GTA, and Buffalo. Brightside covered local Canadian artists and discussed current events happening in and around Toronto. Anastasiya departed the show in August of 2020 after four amazing years on air.

In 2018 she took on the role of producer, videographer, reporter and editor of a weekly segment for KONTAKT. Her work was broadcasted Thursday and Saturday evenings on OMNI Television. The show explored the Ukrainian community in Toronto, visiting local businesses, events and landmarks.

At the start of spring 2019, Anastasiya joined AH Media in Toronto. She worked as a content creator for View the Vibe and Swagger Magazine; focusing on videography and editing, as well as written articles.

In 2020 Anastasiya took on a role as a reporter for Sport Management Hub, as well as the host of their digital show, The SnaP, which features voices from the sport industry. She has had amazing opportunities interviewing Olympians, CEOs of top organizations and other successful people in the industry.

Anastasiya is currently a writer for BlogTO, writing weekly historical features of Toronto neighbourhoods.

Anastasiya was awarded the A.O Tate Award for excellence in news-reporting from Ryerson University where she is completing her degree in journalism.
